Pfeiffer Hall (Naperville, IL) Performing Arts Center

The western suburbs do not have a large density of colleges and universities, but Naperville’s North Central College brings cultural events to the area, hosted in the school’s Pfeiffer Hall. Built during the Jazz Age, the building is low-key and intimate but has the glamour of 1930s movie theaters. Its location in Naperville’s historic downtown district adds to the old-time vibe. Pfeiffer Hall is an intimate venue whose main floor and balcony combine to seat 1,057.

Most events at Pfeiffer Hall have connections to North Central College. The school’s music, theater, and speech communication departments use the building for classes and rehearsal space, and most of the theater’s schedule is filled with student productions. Musical theater and classical music concerts at Pfeiffer Hall are offered many evenings, with tickets usually priced under $15. Outside acts such as Dionne Warwick and Five for Fighting were also booked recently.

The theater also serves as the location for the school’s weekly chapel services, and it hosts many speakers; Robert Frost, Martin Luther King, Jr., Henry Kissinger, and Barack Obama have all addressed crowds here.
