Rolex Farr 40 World Championship 2012 Sports / Sailing Sep 17–20, 2012

Every year since 1998, the best Farr 40 sailing teams in the world compete at the Rolex Farr 40 World Championship. As the biggest event in its class, the 2012 Rolex Farr 40 World Championship takes place at the Chicago Yacht Club on Lake Michigan. Sailing fans come for the full week of yachting events including Pre-World competitions, a national competition, and the final World Championship race.

Aside from sailing, the 2012 Rolex Farr 40 World Championship offers a golf competition, benefit dinners for global nonprofits, and Rolex’s invitation-only celebration dinner for the boat owners and their teams. The best place to watch the 2012 Rolex Farr 40 World Championship is at the Chicago Yacht Club, but be sure to get there early as parking tends to be extremely limited and fills out fast.
