O'Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals Auto Racing Every Year in June or July

Every summer since 1998, drag racing fans come to the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals. This weekend-long drag racing event brings out national champions like Tony Schumacher and Spencer Massey to battle at speeds upwards of 300 MPH. Racers can compete in a variety of categories with the most popular being Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Tickets for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals range from $125 to $170 for the entire weekend. Single race day tickets range from $13 for Thursday’s qualifying races to $66 for Sunday’s final eliminations. Fans get the most bang for their buck at the O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals as all tickets to the races include a pit pass. With the pit pass, drag racing fans can walk the pits, watch their favorite teams tune up, and get autographs from past winners like Mike Neff and Del Worsham.
