The Northwestern Wildcats are a Division I NCAA basketball team that plays games at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Illinois. The stadium first opened in 1952, was renovated in 1983, and has a seating capacity of 8,117 for Wildcats games. The Wildcats currently play in the Big Ten Conference and have been shooting hoops since 1904. The team’s history isn’t filled with any big achievements as they rarely have a winning season.
