Harkening back to the era of big hair, disco, and vinyl upholstery, the retro-themed Beauty Bar Chicago is the eighth permutation of the Beauty Bar franchise, known for combining a bar and club with the chance to get a manicure.

Multicolored bubble designs and teal walls set the tone in the front room, while funky furnishings salvaged from the Paris Salon of Beauty – a New Jersey parlor that closed its doors in 1967 – give the rest of the space a nostalgic yet upbeat glow.

Groups of single young ladies take over the turquoise couches and old-school hair-dryer chairs to await their daily $10 Martini & Manicure, while indie rockers, electro kids, and hip-hop enthusiasts gather around the back to fuel up on $4 vodka tonics before the DJ powers up in his bubble-shaped booth.

A sleek bar lined with retro white vinyl stools offers space for hipsters to chill out, while rowdier patrons flood the pink dance floor and document their antics in the nearby photo booth.

Unique and fun-loving, Beauty Bar offers a great combination of musical theme nights, daily drink specials, and beauty treatments that keep its colorful clientele feeling and looking good.

Great DJ!

I've been here on two separate occasions, and the crowd was vastly different both times. Attire ranged from hipster to laid-back to dressier options. It's a good spot to chat, get a manicure, or bust a move on the dance floor. The DJs are really good. The transitions into songs were spot on.
Come and get your Dance on!

The thing I hate most about clubs- the DJ usually sucks, drinks are costly, and people ARE NOT DANCING!! They're just crowded around the bars and the VIP section looking attractive. I’m pretty much over that. However, Beauty Bar is stimulating for multiple reasons! First- It’s got a beautiful fun interior design. The music was incredible! The whole lounge/club is 1960’s beauty shop themed. They have cute features- such as the chairs you sit in have hair dryers attached. So far- so good. And there’s a huge dance floor where people are actually sweating it out dancing, how refreshing. And it’s only 10:15 PM!! I came on a great night! Plus, cover was only $5 bucks. Drinks were moderately priced and had really cute names! And there was no particular style going on-everyone looked very geek chic though.
