Chicago's Very Breezy Rooftop Bars

Aug 14, 2012 —  By the time the frigid winters begin to retreat and the ice starts to thaw, the Chicago population is dying for some sunshine. And with the spectacular skyline views of this skyscraper city, the rooftop bars become a favorite destination between the cold.

So why pay to sightsee from the top of the Willis Tower when you could cherish the same scenery while buying a cold drink? Chic and exclusive lounges perched high above the busy streets welcome patrons with premier vantage points along with cocktails as cool as the breeze.

But the Windy City’s roofs are just as welcoming to the casual crowds as well. Plenty of rowdy pubs offer up sprawling beer gardens and seasonal rooftop patios for laid-back locals. Even Cubs fans can join in on the building-top parties as bleachers surrounding Wrigley offer up a chance for die-hards to toast to the boys in blue from well up above.
