Shriners Auditorium Event Space

Conventions and trade shows are the most common events that take place at the staggeringly large Shriners Auditorium located in Wilmington, MA, although it has also accommodated circuses, rodeos, and wrestling matches. Opened in 1977, the main auditorium measures 37,000 square feet and can seat up to 4,150 people – nearly the size of a football field. Recent events at Shriners Auditorium have included boat, home, antique, and baseball card shows, a roller derby, and the Castleberry Faire. Three (slightly) smaller spaces are also available, and are used for balls, dances, banquets, and other private functions. While Wilmington is served by public transportation with a stop on the MBTA commuter rail, the auditorium is nearly three miles away, so most guests opt to drive. It’s only a half hour commute from the city to the auditorium, and finding a parking space in the 1,500-car lot isn’t difficult. For serious collectors or decorators, there’s nothing better than attending a show at Shriners Auditorium.
