Part laid-back billiards hall, part swank restaurant, and part rocking dance club, Felt packs in tons of entertainment for its chic clientele of affluent business people, stylish grad students, and singles on the prowl.
A sleek bar, velvet booths, and intimate dining area on the ground floor offer room for early evening cocktails and nibbles, though the space gets crazy later on when the small dance floor swells with young professionals and their sexy dates getting down to DJ-spun Snoop Dogg and Ludacris.
A grand staircase leads to the billiards room, whose stylish décor of cathedral windows, large mirrors, and red chandeliers forms the backdrop for the lively jocks and students gathered around the pool tables or at the bar, while the regal third floor pool room, decked out in purple and leopard-print sofas, offers a bird’s-eye view of the floor below and a place to grab a breather.
The real action, however, takes place in the fourth-floor club, where frenetic nightly dance parties draw sloshed club kids who fill the center dance floor or clamor for cocktails at the purple-lit marble bar, as well as high rollers who hold court on the recessed velvet banquettes or in the VIP booth.
For an energetic and floor hopping night on the town, Felt is a playground that’s tailor-made for adults.
Affluent and well-dressed finance and business types, college students, club kids, groups for birthdays, tourists, and jocks, mid-20s to 30s.
