Fenway Chili Cook-Off Description

Fenway Chili Cook-Off - Food & Drink Event in Boston.

Fenway Park is the oldest and most cherished baseball stadium in America. Millions of fans crowd the stands each and every year to watch the Red Sox compete for a world championship. During the off-season, the Church of Boston, a Fenway restaurant and club, hosts an equally heated and competitive Chili Cook-Off outside of the park every January where local chefs from popular area restaurants vie for the chance to be called chili king or queen.

2012 marked the first year of the competition and pre-sold tickets for the Fenway Chili Cook-Off cost $8, while tickets at the door cost $10. Over 250 people were in attendance in 2012 and top chefs from Fenway Park, Church, Sweet Cheeks, Tasty Burger, Jerry Remy’s, Sweet Caroline’s, and Citizen’s Publik House all competed. Jerry Remy’s won the crowd favorite and celebrity chef Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks won the judges’ pick.

Church of Boston is one of the many sports bars around Fenway and they have pool tables and plasma TVs that broadcast every Boston sporting event.
