To see a show or put on a show, there’s no better place than Medford’s Chevalier Theatre. Built in 1939, the building was originally part of the city’s high school, and in its early days, it hosted a handful of legends like Frank Sinatra and JFK.
Today, the Chevalier Theatre mostly acts as a stage for community theater productions and comedians, and is even available for rental for dance performances and special concerts. With a seating capacity of 2,061, the theater has enough space for large groups and families to take in a show together.
Taking the T to Medford is feasible by catching the commuter rail and getting off at the Malden Center stop, but most opt to take the twenty-minute drive and park in one of the nearby lots.
