Rap concerts, hockey games, monster truck shows, and even Sesame Street Live are all events hosted by the DCU Center since its opening in 1982. Frank Sinatra was the inaugural performer, paving the way for other mega-acts such as Phish, Aerosmith, and Dave Matthews Band.

On the sports side, the 14,800-seat arena is home to the Worcester Sharks hockey team, and has also hosted the Celtics and the WWE Raw tour. Kids’ shows at the DCU Center have included The Wiggles, Disney on Ice, and both the Ringling and Barnum & Bailey Circuses, making the venue popular with families.

The MBTA offers service to Worcester via the commuter rail, but travelers should be aware that the arena is approximately a 15-minute walk from the stop. Drivers have an easier time with several parking lots surrounding the venue. At just an hour’s drive away from Boston, the DCU Center offers a variety of entertainment for audiences of all ages and tastes.
