Agganis Arena at Boston University Arena / Concert Venue

Boston University’s massive state-of-the-art Agganis Arena is concrete proof of how seriously Bostonians take college hockey. Home to the BU Terriers since its opening in 2005, Agganis Arena sees packs of cheering students fill its 7,200 seats each game, munching on hot dogs, slices of pizza, and ice cream cones from the many concessions stands spread throughout the venue.

During the offseason, performances at Agganis have included acts such as Coldplay, Phoenix, the Cure, and the Jonas Brothers as well as comedians like Dave Chappelle and family shows like Sesame Street Live.

Located on Commonwealth Avenue on the border of Allston, the arena is across the street from the Pleasant Street Green B line stop. Nearby satellite garages offer parking for drivers – although it isn’t free, at $12–$25, it isn’t exorbitant either. After attending a concert or a game at Agganis Arena, odds are you’ll want to go back again.
