The Beanpot Tournament Description

The Beanpot Tournament is an annual hockey tournament played between the big four hockey schools in Boston and is played at TD Garden. TD Garden replaced the Boston Garden and was first opened in 1995 and has a seating capacity of up to 20,000. The Garden is currently home to the Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, and the annual Beanpot Tournament.

The Beanpot tournament was first held back in 1952 and consists of Boston University, Boston College, Harvard University, and Northeastern University. Boston University has the best record among the four schools, having won the Beanpot 29 times. The most recent Beanpot winner though was Boston College in 2012.

Notable Beanpot players and MVPs include Chris Drury, Scott Gordon, Joe Cavanagh, and John Cunniff.
