Commemoration of the Battle at North Bridge Description

It’s been a while since the first free Americans saw the original rockets’ red glare and the bombs bursting in air, but revolutionary spirit remains strong in the consciousness of all United States citizens, especially on the Fourth of July. However, there is another celebration of the American Revolution well before July rolls around.

Every weekend in April on Patriot’s Day, Bostonians head northwest to Concord, Massachusetts for the Commemoration of the Battle at North Bridge. At the Commemoration of the Battle at North Bridge, British reenactors battle Acton Minutemen and the event culminates in a memorable musket salute. The Commemoration of the Battle at North Bridge is preceded by a parade that usually goes from 8:30am - 9:30am.

The Commemoration of the Battle at North Bridge takes place at the Minute Man National Historical Park, which is free to attend.
