A spirited and ultra-feminine mélange of classic French and Jazz Age styles, Cuchi Cuchi, named for Charo’s trademark expression, is a charming and slightly kooky cocktail bar popular with fun-loving bachelorettes and birthday girls.

Bejeweled and feathered hostesses dolled up like flappers and showgirls usher the animated clientele into the front room, where gaggles of twittering college girls and chatty couples recline on plush floral couches or mingle at the bar, silhouetted by the light from stained glass windows.

Two dining areas fitted out with French tapestry chairs, chandeliers, and dramatic drapes feature eclectic touches like wall-mounted kimonos, photos of stars like Carmen Miranda, mannequins in period costumes, and a triptych of burlesque star Dita Von Teese, all fodder for conversation for the buzzing clusters of diners waiting for their shared dishes to arrive or having their tarot cards read.

Lively party groups usually gather in the Chico Chica Boom Boom room, where an LED table that changes color when touched provides entertainment between rounds and rounds of muddled fruit cocktails. Festive, cheeky, and over the top, Cuchi Cuchi is a sure bet for anyone looking for a little vintage glam and an excuse to break out the feather boa.

Tip from Emma:

The Chico Chica Boom table is the perfect spot for a girls’ night out. Order a round of fun drinks with names like You Give Me Fever and Some Like It Hot, and see if you can land a Sugar Daddy From Miami!

fun and quirky

cuchi cuchi is a good time, plain and simple. there's always at least one bachelorette or birthday party here, but that's because it's a blast - costumed servers, fantastic drinks, and a fun, quirky, imaginative ambiance. the food was fine but not incredibly impressive, but the cocktails are delicious, strong, and creative. the vibe is really fun and it's a great place to bring a group for a fun night out.
Because who couldn't use a little Cuchi Cuchi?

Cuchi Cuchi has everything a lady could want in a night out, and everything a guy could hope to deliver on a date. When you pass through their doors, you are transported to a place where burlesque music gets the people going, and sequins reign supreme. Allow your vintage bedazzled server to suggest some treats for you and yours--you won't be disappointed. For my birthday celebration we had cocktails to start out, the hit being the Orient Express (muddled kiwi, orange, lemongrass, cranberry juice, citrus vodka, lychee liqueur, and a champagne float) and the more traditional Caipirinha. From there we feasted on small plates like Duck a l'Orange Crepes and Savory Cornets with Tuna Tartare and Avocado Mouse. The tuna cones have been done before, but they were delicious and a much welcome companion to some of the heavier menu items like the Mexican Deep Fried Tomato. Our server was down to earth and fun, and always around to answer questions, bring another course, and even switched up the music when we requested. (I've had enough Cher for one lifetime, thanks.) Overall, this place is fool-proof, so grab your hottest Flapper, Betty Paige, or Disco Chick ensemble and head over to Central Square, where anything goes at this quirky little night spot.
