Restaurants in Boston

The restaurants in Boston might not be internationally recognized, but the dining options are surprisingly vivid, trendy, and downright cool.

Julia Child lived just across the river in the 80s, and ever since there has been an explosion of restaurants, a tidal wave of sushi joints, a stampede of steak houses, a Tora Tora Tora of taquerias…you get the idea.

Thai food and Italian restaurants also abound, and then there’s the recent influx of Indian eateries, cozy Brazilian spots, swanky cafés along Newbury Street and budget-minded dim sum in Chinatown.
