Citi Performing Arts Center Concert Venue / Performing Arts Center

Amid the lights and the neon signs of the Theater District, the Citi Performing Arts Center is comprised of two neighboring theaters on Tremont Street: the Wang and Shubert Theaters. The 1,500-seat Shubert Theater, constructed in 1910, is the elder of the two, although the 3,600-seat Wang Theater is not new by any means – it was dedicated fifteen years later in 1925. Both venues have presented everything from Broadway shows to ballets to live concerts, and the Wang has even hosted Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.

Past performances at the Wang Theater include Jerry Seinfeld, Belle & Sebastian, and Paul Simon, and the Shubert Theater has presented La Cage aux Follies, Tosca, and Chita Rivera.

Other events at the Citi Performing Arts Center include Leonard Cohen, the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, and Morrissey, in addition to Madama Butterfly and the Spellbound Dance Company at the Shubert.

Conveniently located by the Green B train Boylston Street stop, the Orange line Symphony stop, and the Red line Park Street stop, the Citi Performing Arts Center is easy to reach on the T, while patrons who opt to drive can leave their cars at a number of nearby garages.
