Usually held in September, the Boston Film Festival has been bringing Bostonians some of the best in new documentaries and independent films since 1984.
Dozens of films are normally screened during the Boston Film Festival, from full-length features to multiple series of short films, as well director and actors panels. There’s also usually a big opening night party to kick things off, with lots of big name industry folks in attendance.
Several notable films have premiered at the Boston Film Festival over its history, including Renaissance, Deliver Us From Evil, The Last Kiss, A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Jesus Camp, The Ground Truth, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Prime, The US vs. John Lennon, A Desperate Crossing, and North Country.
Tickets to the Boston Film Festival are usually $9 per screening or $300 for an all-access pass. Films are normally screened at the Stuart Street Playhouse, located at 200 Stuart Street, Boston, MA 02116.
