Party Earth Market (MKT) Review

The Scene

An upscale lounge with four levels offering distinctly different social atmospheres, Market is a popular spot where college students, financial types, and local celebrities meet to drink, dance, and hook up.

An upscale lounge with four levels offering distinctly different social atmospheres, Market is a popular spot where college students, financial types, and local celebrities meet to drink, dance, and hook up.

The first floor consists of several small spaces, including a main room with a black and red motif, dramatic chandeliers, and a round wooden bar right in the center where a lively clientele of young professionals gathers to toss back drinks, flirt, and eventually dance across the black-and-white checkered floor.

More laid-back partygoers can relax on plush oversized chairs at high tables or on the bright red couches, or hang out in the more casual back room to catch some Boston sports on the flat-screen TVs.

A small outdoor patio provides a haven for those who don’t want to wait in line for access to the fourth floor roof deck, a mostly unadorned space where a few lucky patrons can admire the skyline – and each other – over a cocktail or two.

Although the second and third floors are often given over to private functions or exclusive VIP bashes for local sports celebrities, they open up after 9pm when DJs start spinning Top 40 and hip-hop tunes that get a much more boisterous college crowd on its feet and dancing.

Perfect for more relaxed drinks in the early evening, Market definitely kicks it up a few notches as the night progresses and the after-work crowd gives way to a rowdier meat market of frat and sorority types looking to party hard until closing.

If you want to get your drinks quickly, try the less populated back bar that leads out to Water Street.

Chill place, younger crowd but more mature than just regular party-hardy college kids

Wandered in after finding this place using Privie (http://www.privielife.com/) and had a blast. Great music and drinks are priced decently also unlike the clubs nearby. Definitely going back!

Market is a great time! This up-scale bar enjoys four floors and a medium-sized roof deck full of people looking for a good time. The crowd is young professional, generally pretty gorgeous and willing to party. Dance and pop music from the top 40 keeps you moving. The waitstaff were friendly and amicable. Definitely a great place to be if you're willing to cope with downtown crowds and a packed weekend house. However, if you're looking for a quite pub or lounge I suggest you take your party elsewhere because this place rocks in the summer.
Summer Must See

This place is great during the Summer! Located right near Faneuil Hall, this bar offers an amazing roof deck where you and your friends can go, order one of their many margaritas and enjoy the view of the city. The drinks are fairly priced, and yummy, but what really makes this place great it the roof deck. It's clean, modern, and comfortable. It offers many places to sit and chat with friends and on a nice night it's the perfect place to be. I would highly recommend this bar.
