With Boston’s affinity for low-key pubs and gritty sports bars, a common complaint is that there is a shortage of posh places. Enter Bijou Nightclub & Lounge. The neon lights, blaring club, techno, and electronic music, and slick black leather couches could easily have been transported from an LA or NYC hot spot – and indeed, the sexy patrons ditch their Sox hats for barely-there shirts and mile-high heels.

Like many other structures in Boston, the building is an old one, dating back to 1882. It became Bijou in 2011, and got a major facelift in the process. Live DJs from across the globe spin at Bijou Night Club & Lounge on weekends and certain weekdays, and tickets at Bijou Nightclub are generally affordable, which allows guests to make up the difference in shots.

The club is located in Chinatown, so the easiest way there is by T, hopping off at the Chinatown stop on the Orange line – but since many of the suave VIPs refuse to take public transportation, street parking is also common. Get glitzed up on Saturday night and head to Bijou – your Patriots jersey will patiently wait until Sunday football.
