Hotel bars are always good for a few things. They’re usually a lower key affair, so conversation is easy to have. There are usually patrons from all over the country or the world who may be staying in the hotel. And typically, the hotel bars offer a more refined environment with good food and better drinks.

One of the best Boston hotel bars is Bond at The Langham Hotel. Here, financial fat-cats mix and mingle with dapperly dressed dames over intricate cocktail concoctions and a mutual love of the finer things in life. Over at the Liberty Hotel, meanwhile, there’s both Alibi and Clink which are criminally themed hotel bars featuring mug shots, actual jail cells, and flirtatious crowds.
