Kesselhaus Berlin Concert Venue / Theater

Since 1990 Kesslhaus, in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg, has become one of the best venues for live music in the German capital.

Performances at Kesselhaus have included acts from Green Day, Cake, Rufus Wainwright, Razorlight and Kasabian.

Besides concerts other events in Kesselhaus have included, festivals, readings, operas, dance and theater productions, and themed party nights.

Kesselhaus is one of twenty big and small buildings on the grounds of the old Kulturbrauerei, one of the oldest and best preserved brewery complexes in Berlin. The small brewing operation began in 1878 and lasted until 1967 when it finally relocated to newer facilities. In 1974 the entire site was declared a historical monument and in 1998 the entire complex, stretching over 25,000 square meters, underwent major renovations turning it into the modern living/working/cultural space that it is today.

Capacity at the standing room only Kesselhaus is approximately one-thousand people.
