One of the best examples of early 20th century German industrial architecture, the Arena Berlin, located in Treptow next to the Spree River, is one of the German capital’s premier sites for concerts, parties, gala events, fairs, and exhibitions.
The 20,000-square-foot Arena Berlin, complete with artificial summer and winter beaches, a restaurant boat, a large arena, and the “Glass House,” draws in over one million visitors every year.
Theatrical and musical events at Arena Berlin have included Ariane Mnouchkine's Theatre du Soleil, Stomp, and performances by the Berlin Philharmonic. Past musical concerts at the Arena Berlin include performances by Paul van Dyk, Nelly Furtado, Coldplay, Bob Dylan, the Chemical Brothers, The Cure, Björk, ZZ Top, and BB King.
Arena Berlin’s large hall is a standing-room-only venue with a capacity of 9,000 people, while the smaller Glass House provides seating for 5,000.
