Pizzeria Ali Baba is a dream come true for late-night food lovers who can order a sit-down meal until three in the morning – and indeed, the place is consistently full of jovial patrons every night.
A homey, family-owned restaurant, the pizzeria’s two small rooms are filled to the brim with tables and loyal regulars, giving the place an inviting, neighborly vibe.
The pasta dishes are to die for and the plentiful pizza options make it easy to find something to suit anyone’s taste.
Friendly service and walls adorned with whimsical Italian ads from the 1920s add to Ali Baba’s charm, while outdoor seating in the summer accommodates the crowd that spills onto the sidewalk at all hours. And to top it all off, Ali Baba offers a take-out menu perfect for those who would rather enjoy their meal at home or in one of the nearby parks.
Down-to-earth, sociable locals during the day and early evening, more university students and young professionals at night, early 20s to 30s.
Conversation with other patrons.
Extensive menu of pizzas includes vegetarian selections and the popular mini-pizzas. Menu also features pasta, salads, omelets, and some traditional German dishes.
Mini-pizza €1.50, pizza €3–€9, pasta €3–€10.50, omelets €4–€5, soups and salads €2.60–€8. Beer €2–€3, wine €2.50/glass or €9.50/liter, mixed drinks €3.50–€5, sangria €14/liter.
Casual.
This place is full every day from 6 to 10pm without fail. Perfect for a late-night meal any night of the week.
