What a great 17'night

Noise! Beer! as a river candies of leather mixed up with a orde of people, noises like to be in Hell!....Welcome to the one of the finest – and most relentless - metal and goth party venues outside the city centre. As well as regular concerts and parties, K17 regularly organises special events. It’s got its own shop too, where you can buy all manner of garments daubed with four-letter expletives. Every evening, the club caters to connoisseurs of live music, thanks to a dedicated building set aside for touring bands and local artists alike. The right place for mettalers, dancers, sinners, lovers, beautifull people, who wanna live at the top of the night,,,a night to remember.
The definitive alternative club in Berlin
Nicholas M. Apr 11, 2013
Among the well travelled goths, rockers and metallers of Europe, K17's reputation is legendary. It is the largest club catering to alternative music subcultures in Berlin and it can boast up to 5 dancefloors going on at any one time (though on a typical clubnight, just 3 are active). The concert venue is spacious, with good acoustics and attracts top-quality international talent. Otherwise it is a clubbers paradise with multiple floors, at least five bars and bonfires outside on cold nights. There's plenty of seating and tables around but the club is so popular that you'd be hard pressed to get a chair unless you're quite early or staying quite late. Prices are reasonable (as long as you remember to return your bottles and glasses to the bar to get your 'pfand' money back). A typical arrangement has the ground floor playing goth/darkwave/industrial/80s (Rammstein, The Sisters of Mercy, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails etc), with the middle floor varying but usually going for a more accessible 90s grunge, pop or indie rock set. Top floor has the smallest room but probably the most dedicated patrons- it's the heavy metal floor, be prepared for some serious swinging of hair. The crowd here love to party and come out in their most outrageous outfits, expect to see a lot of the weird and wonderful in terms of hairstyles, body modifications, corsets, battle boots and custom clothing. The dancefloors get pretty busy and as the night goes on some of the more intense dancers take no prisoners as they carve a whirling path of flailing limbs. It's all part of them fun. Berlin underground culture is strong and boasts a variety of pubs and clubs for all kinds of music fans, but K17 is the hub and should be tried at least once by anyone involved in the subcultures. A tip for those on a budget: Entry is free on Friday nights before midnight!
