Columbia Club, known as C-Club, opened in 1998 and is located in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district.
Originally built as a theater in 1951 by the US Air Force, the tastefully modernist Columbia Theatre catered to all US army personnel and their guests. The premiere film was Captain Horatio Hornblower, starring Gregory Peck.
The layout of C-Club still retains an old-school theater feel with a large fan-shaped auditorium, a small foyer, and an 800-person capacity
Concerts at C-Club are mostly in the rock and pop genres and have included performances by The Pretty Things, The Stranglers, Everlast, Lee “Scratch” Perry, and the New York Dolls.
Other events at C-Club have included dances, sporting events, conventions, trade shows, industry events, and festivals.
