Europe Blues Train Festival 2012: Berlin Music Festival Oct 4–6, 2012

While blues was born in the USA, European fans and musicians have laid claim to the genre, adding elements of their traditional music forms to make blues sounds that are entirely new and unique. Every year since 2009, some of the biggest names in blues from Europe and around the world have come to celebrate the European blues tradition with performances at the Europe Blues Train Festival in Berlin.

The 2012 Europe Blues Train Festival begins with the exclusive invitation-only opening of the festival at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Berlin. After the opening, Quasimodo in Berlin hosts a series of blues concerts during the first weekend in October. After these performances, this festival travels to Prague to continue with a whole new batch of blues shows as well as some jazz sets headlined by local and international jazz talent.

Each day of the festival features emerging local blues talent from Germany and Eastern Europe as well as guest musicians from all over the world.
