Established in 2009, Berlin Festival takes place annually – typically in the first or second week of September – at the vacant Tempelhof Airport in Berlin, as well as at roughly thirty additional clubs throughout the city.
Featuring an array of up-and-coming performers in pop, rock, and jazz, as well as several big name headliners, the Berlin Festival routinely attracts more than 20,000 attendees, primarily at the open-air main stage set up near the airport.
The airport’s hangars are also used for performances at the Berlin Festival, as well as to accommodate a Silent Aftershow Party that takes place after the two-day event.
Previous performers at the Berlin Festival include The Killers, Kate Nash, Junior Boys, We Have Band, Crookers, and promising newcomers like Grimes, Michael Kiwanuka, Sizarr, Friends, I Heart Sharks, and Etnik.
The Berlin Festival also hosts forums and music workshops, so attendees can get in on exclusive interviews, panel discussions, and much more.
Berlin Festival ticket fees are €74 (which includes access to the Aftershow) and can be bought on the official Berlin Festival website.
