Located in the heart of Schöneberg, Jansen Bar is a chic, somewhat upscale yet slightly bohemian cocktail bar divided into three distinct rooms, each bathed in warm lighting that’s low enough to create atmosphere but bright enough to show off the swanky décor.

The front room, dominated by a wide granite-topped bar nicely set off by pastel wallpaper, contrasts with the two smaller back rooms, which feature wood-paneled walls and deep red lighting.

Stylish neighborhood regulars pull up stools at the front room bar to chat amicably with the bartenders, while groups of students and young professionals tend to gather around tables or sink into comfy chairs in the back rooms.

Jansen’s skilled bartenders are adept at making everything from mint juleps to mojitos to margaritas and can offer suggestions to patrons dazed by the overwhelming list of cocktails, which includes three pages of house-designed creations.

Owing to its residential location, Jansen’s has a relaxed neighborhood vibe, especially during the week, though larger crowds do show up for the weekends and special events – still, things never get so hectic as to disturb the festive, stress-free atmosphere.
