There’s always something going on in this non-stop party city, and because the denizens have an insatiable appetite for entertainment stimulus, there’s no shortage of venues in Barcelona to cater to every one of their whims.
The city has an incredible vibrant live music scene which caters to top of the line artists and wannabe stars alike. The biggest venues in the city are Palau Sant Jordi, Camp Nou, and Pavello Olimpic de Badalona, and play host to A-list stars, top DJs, solo artists and more. Beyond the massive complexes, there are also tons of small and midsize venues that feature everyone from the ‘next big thing’ to folk singers just wanting to share their poetry.
But when you think about Barcelona venues, what truly comes to mind is the grand palace that hosts the city’s true obsession: FC Barcelona football. Barça followers go absolutely bonkers anytime the team is playing and routinely overcrowd their equally famous stadium Camp Nou, which can hold up to 100,000 screaming fans.
Beyond sports and music, the city is a never-ending hot bed for entertainment, clubbing, bars, restaurants, and more. Las Ramblas, Plaça Reial, Plaça del Sol, and Passeig del Born are all nightlife areas where thousands of Barcelona residents and visitors flock to on a nightly basis to eat, drink, dance, and party until the sun comes up.
The city, of course, isn’t one big rave as there are plenty of theater venues, opera houses, and jazz clubs for the more discerning crowds – and if those are a bit too staid, you can always find more authentic Spanish culture at Plaza De Toros Monumental De Barcelona and take in the bullfights.
