Parc del Fòrum Concert Venue / Theater

Parc del Forum is a festival ground and music venue located in northern Barcelona, Spain in the residential Diagonal Mar neighborhood. It was originally constructed for the 2004 Fórum Universal de las Culturas. Parc de Forum was built, despite controversy, on the site of a death camp constructed by Fransisco Franco to execute more than 1,700 people allegedly involved in military revolt or otherwise found to be enemies of the state. There is a monument at Parc de Forum to commemorate those who were persecuted during Franco's regime.

In contrast with the site's dark past, many upbeat annual events at Parc del Forum can be found including the Barcelona Feria de Abril, the Primavera Sound Festival, and Festival Cruilla. Attractions at Parc del Forum also include the natural science museum Museu Blau and the CCIB Convention Center. Aquatic activities at Parc del Forum can be found in the Banys Forum section, an enclosed seawater swimming pool, and includes scuba-diving, water-skiing, catamarans, and kayaking. Festivals at Parc de Forum can accommodate up to 130,000 guests. Past performers at Parc del Forum include The Cure, Death Cab for Cutie, and Yo La Tengo, and many others.
