The Gran Premio de España Santander or Spanish Grand Prix is a Formula 1 auto race that is held every May at the Circuit de Catalunya race track in Barcelona. Circuit de Catalunya was first opened in 1991 and hosts everything from MotoGP to Formula 1 to cycling.

The Spanish Grand Prix race is one of the oldest races in the world with a history dating back to 1913, and has changed names and tracks multiple times in its existence. The race has been held at the Circuit de Catalunya since 1991 when it first opened.

Past Spanish Gran Prix winners include six-time winner Michael Schumacher, two time winner Mario Andretti, and two-time winner Emerson Fittipaldi.

Because of the event's popularity, tickets for the Spanish Grand Prix aren't always easy to come by but can usually be purchased at the track on race days.
