Every June, motorcycle fans from Europe and around the world flock to the Catalan Motorcycle Grand Prix. This 3-day annual race has been held at the Circuit de Catalunya in Montmeló, Catalonia, Spain, since 1995. The popular Circuit de Catalunya also hosts the Spanish F1 Grand Prix and won the IRTA trophy for Best Grand Prix in 2001.
As one of the most popular motorcycle races in the world, the Catalan Motorcycle Grand Prix replaced the European Motorcycle Grand Prix in 1996 and continues to attract racing fans from around the globe.
Throughout the Catalan Motorcycle Grand Prix, fans pack out the Circuit de Catalunya’s 104,000 seats. During these Catalan motorcycle races, the crowds can keep a close eye on all of the action no matter where they sit as every general admission area is equipped with TVs.
Tickets to Friday’s Catalan Motorcycle Grand Prix races include access to the pit walk where fans can meet the riders up close, take pictures, and get autographs. For racing fans wanting to let loose, the nearest town is about a mile and a half away without shuttle service. So instead of taking a taxi all the way to Barcelona, celebrate late into the night with the locals at the popular campsite conveniently located next to the Circuit de Catalunya.
