Port Olimpic /​ Barceloneta

One of the most popular spots in Barcelona, Barceloneta Beach in Barceloneta provides an expanse of sand that offers plenty in the way of sunbathing, swimming, water sports, beach games, or just relaxing with a pitcher of sangria at one of the many chiringuitos(beach bars).

As the sun sets and the daytime throngs ebb with the tide, another throng of fashionably-attired couples and groups shows up to begin a night at the upscale seafront lounges and restaurants of Port Olimpic.

The stylish crowd swells considerably around midnight when wave upon wave of bright-eyed clubbers in search of an all-night party begin to take over the neighborhood.

Although Port Olimpic/Barceloneta are home to many chic venues that run on the exclusive side and attract a clientele of beautiful people ready to see and be seen, there are also some more affordable clubs at the adjacent Moll de Mestral.
