The city is full of friendly spots perfect for mingling, drinking, and watching sports – especially when FC Barcelona is playing and fans pack every bar, café, and pub and turn the city into one big party.

The real heat of the city, however, is centered in the Port Olimpic/Barceloneta area, which draws a huge, high-energy crowd that parties at the lounges and clubs until 6am.

And in the summer, nothing is better for recuperating from the night before than sitting at a beach bar with one hand wrapped around a cervesa and both eyes on the señoritas passing by.
