Every Halloween since 2001, Barcelona presents its darker side at the Nocturna Festival. The popular club Salamandra 2 in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat hosts the 2012 festival, welcoming hundreds of goths and metalheads to pack out the club to its 500-person capacity. The 2012 Nocturna Festival features international metal and industrial bands as well as DJs to keep the crowd moving into the next morning.

Past Nocturna Festivals have included bands like Kirlian Camera, Hanzel und Gretyl, and Armaggedon Dildos. But the 2012 Nocturna Festival is much more than a music festival, with fetish and freak shows, pin-ups, visuals, a cabaret show, and erotic go-go dancers, this celebration of all things dark is a massive gothic and metal Halloween party.

Tickets to the 2012 Nocturna Festival in Barcelona are around €17 and include tequila, a t-shirt, gift CDs, gift tickets to upcoming concerts, and of course, Halloween treats. The dress code is strictly enforced, so be sure to put together your sultriest costume or join the daring crowd in kink and fetish wear. The 2012 Nocturna Festival will have metal fans dancing until the final DJ stops spinning at 6 in the morning.
