Simply put, Mojito Club is dedicated to sexy, seductive salsa and offers a fast-paced, fun-filled evening of dancing.
Two long transparent bars radiate soft white light, as illuminated portraits of salsa dancers gaze down upon the patrons lining up for mojitos.
The cool Latin and Cuban vibe and exotic cocktails are mere backdrops to the energy generated by the enthusiastic patrons who are none too shy about showing off their moves in the mirrored dance hall.
It’s a very open-minded crowd, and it’s common to see the willing and able shake it up on the stage with the pros to the cheers of the encouraging crowd.
Those who don’t know the first thing about salsa needn’t worry – the club offers lessons at 10pm for the mix of couples, groups, and individuals who then stay on to practice their new moves – and the sociable, welcoming crowd is more than willing to help others perfect their skills.
Mojito Club turns into more of a regular disco around 1am on the weekends, but even if the music changes, the high energy and Latino spirit remain.
All types of salsa lovers including many couples, small groups, and Latin American expats, late 20s to 40s.
Mostly salsa with Brazilian, Caribbean, Chilean, and Cuban influences. Some R&B, hip-hop, reggae, 90s, and chart toppers after 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Extensive menu of mojito flavors. The bar also has an affiliated salsa school offering lessons – see www.salsabuenavista.com for details.
Cover charge €12/weekends, includes one drink. No cover charge Th/Su, but minimum drink charge applies. Beer €5, cocktails and mixed drinks €7.50.
Casual.
Thursdays and Sundays for all night salsa music. Fridays and Saturdays are great for a night of dancing to a wider variety of music.
