Las Ramblas, Barcelona –
Located just off Plaça Catalunya at the top of Las Ramblas, City Hall is a unique mix of old and new combined to create one of the most stylish clubs in the city.
Once a theater, the club has maintained the rich décor of velvet curtains and spotlights, which now form the backdrop for a diverse clientele of fashionable local clubbers and international types who come together for dancing every night of the week.
Complementing the décor and adding to the party atmosphere is an excellent variety of music backed up by dazzling projected visuals, falling confetti, and an ear-splitting sound system.
A large bar in the back is a popular hangout for drinks and shots, while patrons in search of an alternate atmosphere can check out the second room upstairs where a different genre of music is usually playing.
The space also features a low ceiling, soft lighting, and a wall of mirrors that create a friendlier house party mood where it’s always easier to mingle and meet new people.
Although there is a more casual vibe early in the week, the atmosphere and clientele at City Hall get more chic as the week progresses, so patrons can expect a bit of glamour by the time Friday rolls around.
Primarily fashionable Spanish regulars and international students, early 20s.
DJs play a diverse selection of music including hip-hop, house, and electronica, although Mondays are geared toward indie music. Check the schedule on the website for details.
None.
Beer €7, mixed drinks €10, shots €6+.
Trendy clubwear. More casual during the week.
With different parties and themes each night, there’s rarely a dull night at City Hall. On Thursdays, Club4 takes over the venue for a popular house music party, while on Sundays, City Hall becomes Club Zen for one of the most popular electronic nights.
