Party Earth Review: Catwalk is one of the most popular clubs on the Port for the young and fashionable, as well as a late-night spot for those looking to continue dancing after 3am when clubs like Carpe Diem Lounge Club (CDLC) and Shoko close. Downstairs in the club’s main area, big-name DJs blast out house and electro beats at bone-shaking volumes while dancers on podiums showcase their skills and scantily-clad bodies to the hedonistic crowd. Cordoned off from the dance floor, but very much a part of the action, are two VIP areas replete with immaculate white couches and loveseats suspended above the floor, a favorite hangout of the cocktail-sipping set. The upstairs area, called both the Sky Room and Funky Town, caters to fans of funk, hip-hop, and R&B in a groovy retro atmosphere that’s a bit rowdier than the one downstairs as the hip clientele alternates between bouts of uninhibited dancing and rest breaks at the bar. An expansive red couch with cylindrical cushions reminiscent of an inflatable moonwalk offers an excellent place to lounge and listen to the music in comfort.
