Catwalk is one of the most popular clubs on the Port for the young and fashionable, as well as a late-night spot for those looking to continue dancing after 3am when clubs like Carpe Diem Lounge Club (CDLC) and Shoko close.

Port Olimpic / Barceloneta, Barcelona –

Downstairs in the club’s main area, big-name DJs blast out house and electro beats at bone-shaking volumes while dancers on podiums showcase their skills and scantily-clad bodies to the hedonistic crowd.

Cordoned off from the dance floor, but very much a part of the action, are two VIP areas replete with immaculate white couches and loveseats suspended above the floor, a favorite hangout of the cocktail-sipping set.

The upstairs area, called both the Sky Room and Funky Town, caters to fans of funk, hip-hop, and R&B in a groovy retro atmosphere that’s a bit rowdier than the one downstairs as the hip clientele alternates between bouts of uninhibited dancing and rest breaks at the bar.

An expansive red couch with cylindrical cushions reminiscent of an inflatable moonwalk offers an excellent place to lounge and listen to the music in comfort.

To start, it's two stories, the downstairs offering pounding house beats and the upstairs blasting the hip hop tunes we all love, not to mention the large outdoors smoking area with a beautiful view. Entry, although slightly steep if you are on a budget, comes with a free drink, and that's enough to get the night started right. The people are relaxed, well-dressed, and ready to go all night. To add to all of this, it's right next to the beach, so you can wander out there to watch the sunrise once the night is done, and trust me, you will be there until sunrise. Barcelona starts late, so people don't usually start going out until 2 in the AM, but I'd recommend aiming to get there around 1 so you don't have to wait in a long line. Only downside is the occasional creeper or two. They can get pretty handsy and hard to shake, so it's good to have a large group with you when you go so you have someone to bail you out should a hookup go awry. Overall, Catwalk is a great time, wonderful for people who love to dance, sweat, drink, and have fun.

Lupita Molina Mar 28, 2013 4.0 stars VIP Night I had the funnest night before getting on a plane to San Francisco. Thank you Catwalk. The night began by multiple shots of tequila. I went with eight friends (guys and ladies). We all got easily in the club with no problems. As we went in we observed the dancers living up the floor. We continued our way upstairs until we got to the roof and observed the view with drinks on our hands. We came back down and danced the night away to the beats of hip-hop and good Dj music. We enjoyed the drinks and the music. The energy on the dance floor was incredible. I highly recommend this club if you want a fun time with friends. Plus there's a cheap coat check. So come and dance the night away by the beach. Just remember to wear you sexiest attire because the night is hot.

David Maman Jan 14, 2013 3.0 stars Awesome club So I spent about 7 days in Barcelona on my backpacking tour, and visiting the clubs in this city was at the top of my "to-do" list. After a couple days of exploring the city and clubbing around La Rambla, I made my way over to the beach where all the locals told me to go. Catwalk was among three different clubs surrounding the beach and had an extremely long line when I arrived. After paying the cover fee, I entered what looked like a high end VIP venue with two floors of different style music. About four dancers surrounding the first dance floor, two bars, and tons of special lighting. The second floor featured the same two bars, and extraordinary lighting, as well as a fog machine. Great dancing, great DJs, and cool people. After two nights of clubbing in this area, I felt the most comfortable in Catwalk and met some really cool people! I definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for an awesome time clubbing on the beach.

It is easy to find and can usually be identified by the line of people who are trying to gain entry. it is popular but so crowed with tourists due to its location. It isn’t the type of place where you go to relax and lounge about it is the type of club where everyone goes to dance and show off.

kiraabe Dec 4, 2012 3.0 stars Short but sweet I went to Catwalk when I was visiting Barcelona with my friends abroad and we had a great time! Catwalk is located on the beach strip of the most popular clubs in the city, right next to Opium and such. The club has a cool, classy yet trendy vibe with big chandeliers and multiple stages for DJ's and dancing. There's also a neat outdoor deck that looks out onto the beach which is beautiful at night! The only trouble we had was grabbing taxis at the end of the night because the area is so busy with club-goers and tourists but that doesn't really reflect on the club itself. Overall we had a really fun time and if/when I go back to Barcelona I'm definitely hitting this club up again!

When the other clubs close, this one is just getting started. Those who want to keep clubbing make their way down to Catwalk for a longer night of music and dancing, so be sure to come well before 3AM. Catwalk is jam-packed with people dancing to house music on the dance floor surrounded by long, brightly lit bars. But what took me by surprise was upstairs, where the vibe completely transforms with the smooth sounds of R&B—a very laidback atmosphere to just listen to great music while still providing the opportunity to dance. It’s definitely unlike any other club. Before you go, make sure to sign up on their Facebook list, and you’ll be able to go in for free!
