The denizens in Barcelona are certainly passionate about their partying, staying up all night in bars and clubs all over the city. But if there’s one thing they go absolutely insane for, it’s their sports, and whenever there’s a match on TV or FC Barcelona is playing at Camp Nou, the sports bars in Barcelona are completely packed to the gills.
Like in most European cities, football (soccer) is by far the most popular sport and Barcelona sports bars are the wildest, craziest, and most fun locations to catch a match – short of going to the match in person. Any good sports bar in Barcelona will have a good amount of TVs tuned to every match, game, contest, etc. Most will have great, greasy bar food, and all will have an ecstatic fan base cheering on their teams.
One of the best places to watch the game in the city is at Black Horse Pub. Here, ex-pats and locals mix and match over their shared love of sports as they scream at the TVs blaring football, Formula 1, rugby, and even golf.
Sports are definitely a way of life in Barcelona, and the sports bars in the city are great for getting together with friends and praying for those last second goaaaaaallllllssssssss!
