During the week around 10:30pm, the bar likes to liven things up with magicians, drag queens, and trapeze artists, as well as hip DJs who spin laid-back tunes at a conversational volume. Mirrored walls reflect both the performers and the chic patrons gathered to watch, while a huge multicolored backlit mural, vivid oil paintings of jazz musicians, and low-hanging lamps create a colorful yet intimate vibe. There’s no dance floor at Margarita Blue, but no matter – the urbane crowd seems more interested in discussing their latest start-up websites and new media marketing strategies over a wellmade cocktail and a plate of delicious tapas.
