Party Earth Review Having hosted such legends as Chet Baker and Ella Fitzgerald, Jamboree is steeped in jazz history and firmly holds its place as one of Barcelona’s best live music venues, especially since bebop and Bossa Nova are hardly all to be had here. Patrons of all ages arrive in droves for the nightly concerts, which take place ... more

Party Earth Review A trendy bar in the Barri Gòtic area, Margarita Blue is a social hub for the city’s creative professionals that consistently lives up to its reputation for weekday antics and an all-around good time. Party Earth Review Full of class and character, Miramelindo is a dark rustic tavern where smooth jazz keeps the mood mellow during the week and chatty Spaniards keep it lively on the weekends. Party Earth Review Not to be confused with the rambunctious bar with the same name on Nou de la Rambla, this Guru bar is an altogether more refined, low-key venue. A smiling Buddha in the window greets customers as they arrive, while inside, the ornate sofas, piles of plush cushions, somber browns and deep red tones, and burning incense create ... more

Party Earth Review Flying in the face of the earthy vibe of most of Gràcia’s drinking and eating dens, La Baignoire is a distinctly ritzy wine bar much loved by the chatty denizens of this charismatic neighborhood and a sign of the district’s ongoing gentrification. The bar’s black, chocolate, and gold color scheme, Baroque-patterned wallpaper ... more

The endless array of bars in Barcelona are certainly not as crazy as their club and nightlife counterparts, but the bars still get going late, pack a great drinking punch, and many stay open well into the wee hours of the night.
Ubiquitous to Barcelona’s nightlife are the many cerveserias (bars) that echo with the noisy chatter of customers hustling for seats and service. Many groups start off the night in Las Ramblas as party-hoppers pop in and out of the area’s drinking dens and bars on their way to the evening’s final destination. Different types of bars include coctelerías (cocktail bars), whiskerias (whiskey bars), xampanyerias (sparkling wine bars), and many beer halls. In addition, Barcelona is also known for its great beach bars, upscale cocktail and mixology spots, hookah bars, and wine bars.
More relaxed and less touristy Barcelona bars can be found along the outskirts of the city, where the center’s frenetic pace gives way to a more tranquil way of life, while a vibrant gay scene has found a home in the neighborhood of L'Eixample and hosts a plethora of gay bars and other venues to party in.
