Dec 15, 2015 —  When it comes to ski resorts the last thing you want is to find yourself surrounded by families or couples who don’t know how to party and head to bed by 9pm. You need a resort that’s wild, that caters to the party animal in you and hey look - here are ten to consider for your next ski holiday with your mates:

1. Solden, Austria
Featuring 45 après ski bars and eight nightclubs, you shouldn’t find it hard to discover somewhere to party once you’ve kicked off your winter boots and ski suit. This location was also featured in the latest James Bond movie, Spectre, so if you fancy acting like 007 and re-creating scenes from the film then this is the place to be.

2. Aspen, Colorado
A little further afield, Aspen might cost more when it comes to flights but it is the ideal location for party animals who enjoy an old school vibe when it comes to their antics. Visit the Cigar Bar for a smoke and some top shelf liquor or head to the Aspen Brewing Company, off Main Street, to sample some experimental micro brews that should help get the party started.

3. St. Anton, Austria
With a bar that starts Happy Hour at 3.30pm, how could St Anton not be on the list? People are divided over which of the resort’s bars is the best to visit – Mooserwirt or Krazy Kanguruh – but what we do know is that you will always find somewhere to party while visiting.

4. Meribel, France
This is a resort Brits flock to and if you join them there it’s a good idea to pay a visit to Rond Point which is based straight off the slopes and share a bottle of toffee vodka with your squad. You also need to head to the Main Square and check out La Taverne, which doubles up as a restaurant renowned for its hefty portions and great English speaking staff.

5. Kitzbühel, Austria
So far, it feels like party animals should just head to somewhere in Austria if they’re looking for a good time and this resort is another that boasts an impressive nightlife scene with a huge range of bars, clubs and a casino if you’re feeling lucky. Many who visit Kitzbühel recommend paying a visit to the Londoner Pub before heading to Highways for a dance. It’s also a great destination if you fancy a quick shop before getting in the beers, with a Superdry store and plenty of specialist ski stores.

6. Val D’slere, France
If you’re looking to get the party started while there’s still daylight, then you need to get yourself down to Folie Douce where they spray champagne between 3-5pm and get you pumped up for the evening. This location is also home to Dick’s Tea Bar, one of the biggest nightclubs in the Alps, featuring wild live DJ sets that go on well into the night.

7. Verbier, Switzerland
This resort is a little pricier than most on the list – a bottle of vodka in the Farm Club will set you back around 100CHF, which roughly works out at about £65. Yikes! But it is the place to be if you like a party. The Après Ski bar in Hotel Farinet starts its festivities in the afternoon, with a live band playing every day and the Pub Mont Fort is a popular destination for a few beers afterwards.

8. Ischgl, Austria
Once you’re done with your après ski activities, Ischgl is the place to be to carry on the party. The famous Pacha club is located here and while that destination might be a little on the expensive side (Paris Hilton is reported to be a regular there) you and your party animal group can also head to Fuchsloch which has an awesome atmosphere, is affordable and the party goes on into the early hours of the morning.

9. Borovets, Bulgaria
Holidays in Bulgaria are notoriously cheap and despite Borovets hosting a ski resort it also meets that criteria – cue beers for €1, and clubs that keep the music going until late. There’s also a huge karaoke scene at the Black Tiger and Red Lion bars that you need to check out after a few beers.

10. Mayrhofen, Austria
This is the place to be for party animals, as the resort hosts the annual week long Snowbombing winter sports and music festival. 2016’s acts are already being announced so book a ticket quick so you don’t miss out!
