Living the High Roller Lifestyle in New Zealand

Sep 6, 2017 —  New Zealand, or if you prefer its more romantic name Aotearoa (Land of the Long White Cloud), is fast-becoming one of the hottest international destinations for high rollers and the wealthy elite. New Zealand has been increasingly pushed into the limelight over the past few years, beginning with its natural wonders gaining massive exposure in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as The Hobbit and a few of their stars, like Keith Urban, making it internationally.

The natural splendour of the country is undeniable, as is its status as the capital of extreme outdoor sports. However, more recently the news that billionaire PayPal co-founder and Facebook board member Peter Thiel has bought significant amounts of property in rural New Zealand, has pushed the country even further into the limelight. Perhaps somewhat controversially, Thiel was also granted citizenship in a record 12 days of landing in the country!

However, Thiel is just the tip of the iceberg, as more and more of the super wealthy, also known as “UHNWIs” or ultra-high-net worth individuals, have either moved to New Zealand or bought super-luxury homes, particularly on the warmer North Island. This is hardly surprising though, since the range of luxury-orientated activities and life styles available in NZ are extensive.

Topping the list are a selection of luxury bespoke experiences which emphasise the exploration of NZ’s natural beauty. Popular options include exploring the coastline in a private, luxury yacht, being dropped off on one of the country’s snowy peaks by helicopter and exploring the rugged wilderness with guided, private and tailor-made tour packages, luxury accommodation in Northland and Bay of Islands, fine dining and much more.

So How Do You Get Your Slice of New Zealand Luxury Living?

Not everyone can be an Elon Musk or a Peter Thiel-style business tycoon but there are plenty of ways to skin a cat. While this may not come as a surprise to some Kiwis, there are plenty of local success stories and overnight millionaires, right here on home turf. How does one become an overnight millionaire? Well, an effective way for some is a visit to Auckland’s Sky City Casino, New Zealand’s own bit of Las Vegas.

Sky City has changed the lives of more than a few visitors, who went in as a regular Joe and came out a multi-millionaire in just a few short hours. Whether it’s on the baccarat tables, a few spins of the roulette wheel or that decisive hand of blackjack, if lady luck is on your side, you can be whizzing around NZ in your own private helicopter by morning!

Of course not everyone can take time off their busy lives to visit Sky City to try their luck. Most of us trundle off to our place of work every day, day dreaming about a romantic getaway to one of the islands 5 star luxury hotels or a private villa, complete with your very own beach. So, if you can’t go to the mountain, why shouldn’t the mountain simply come to you?

Thanks to fantastic breakthroughs like internet, mobile internet and online casinos, you can still get exactly the same opportunities without the need to go anywhere! There are dozens of fantastic online casinos that accept Kiwis and NZD so it could be just like visiting Sky City, except you save on travel expenses, accommodation, food and drinks. You gain privacy, security and the opportunity to play great casino games in your pyjamas. It’s really a win-win kind of scenario. The best bit is that you can even play on your way to work on the bus or anywhere you like. Who knows, with a bit of luck, you could be jetting around or even living next door to Peter Thiel.
