Jul 11, 2012 — It’s okay to look down your nose at people – at least when you’re 50 floors up, sipping a frothy pint or tasty cocktail on a rooftop overlooking the city.
Rooftop bars come in many different shapes, sizes, and required sojourns to the summit, but what they all have in common are the out-of-this-world views that make drinking on high such an alluring trend.
Sometimes the hardest part about hanging in a sky high watering hole is when the weather isn’t cooperating; a factor that’s probably more relevant to denizens outside of Los Angeles, but rest assured, we’ve got plenty of lofty favorites that offer ample protection from the elements without sacrificing the views.
Other times, the hardest part can just be getting in, what with bouncer-guarded elevators and cocktail prices that seem to go up with each floor you climb. But for those who want a nice dose of attitude with their altitude, there’s no shortage of venues featured in Party Earth’s global offering that tout velvet ropes stretching to the clouds.
Rowdy or refined, baking in the New York summer sun or wrapped in London fog, here’s a roundup of some of our worldwide favorites that’ll get you itching to scream, “I’m on top of the worrrrrld!”
