Ahoy Rotterdam (Rotterdam, NL) Arena / Concert Venue

Ahoy Rotterdam, known simply as Ahoy, is a renowned multi-purpose venue in Amsterdam. Originally opened in 1950 as a sole exhibition hall, the space was used for a number of national and international events. After the 1953 North Sea flood, the hall was used as a relief center for the victims.

The multifunctional facility that Ahoy is today was built in 1971, with extensive renovations in 2010 that further expanded the arena. Now with a 15,000-person capacity, Ahoy holds an international reputation as a leading venue. Events at Ahoy range from major sporting events to sold-out music concerts and other forms of entertainment.

Past concerts at Ahoy include historic performances by Whitney Houston, Bob Marley, Tina Turner, and Janet Jackson. More recently, such popular music acts as Lady Gaga, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Armin van Buuren, Coldplay, and Fleetwood Mac have all performed at Ahoy, as well.
