AFC Ajax

AFC Ajax, or Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax, is a professional football club that plays matches at Amsterdam Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The arena was opened in 1996 and has a seating capacity of 52,342 for Ajax games. De Godenzonen (sons of the Gods) first started kicking balls around back in 1900 and currently plays in the Eredvisie league. Ajax has a storied history and is known as one of the most successful football teams in the world. They’ve won over 30 Netherlands Football League Championships, multiple KNVB Cubs, Cruifjj Shields, European Champion Club’s Cups, and UEFA Champions League Cups, amongst others. Some notable Ajax players include Johan Cruijff, Marco Van Basten, Dennis Bergkamp, Frank Rijkaard, Miralem Sulejmani, and Siem de Jong. Ajax tickets are always tough to come by as the team is incredibly popular in Amsterdam and worldwide.
