Tivoli Oudegracht is a cultural center and concert venue located in the heart of Utrecht. Opened in 1979 in what used to be an orphanage, Tivoli is run by a non-profit organization.

With a capacity of approximately 1,000 people, Tivoli is one of Holland’s major music venues. Events at Tivoli include popular music concerts, live DJ shows, and dance nights, as well as several festivals each year.

Past concerts at Tivoli include performances by Snoop Dogg, Kaiser Chiefs, Young the Giant, Little Dragon, Gotye, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Wilco.

The venue also features a smaller hall within it, called Tivoli De Spiegelbar (The Mirror). The 275-person space is used for smaller gatherings, such as after parties and semi-acoustic performances, and has a larger food and drink menu.

Mokum Groupie Dec 12, 2012 3.0 stars Catch some last-minute bookings in NL There's a top notch Belgium beer bar across the way to pre party at. They sell a few local zines as well, which is a big shocker. The food is spectacular as well. And the selection of pints are just great. As far as the venue goes, it's a smaller Paradiso. It's cheaper, too. But you pay to get there. So remember that. When Amsterdam is booked, this is a last-minute resort. Which means a lot of American bands play here. Big indie ones that are used to bigger venues. PS: Broken Social Scene would have been more impressive for Miss Audrey is she was stoned. They all were. It was great.

Audrey Sykes Dec 12, 2012 3.0 stars Pick the right band, and I'm sure it's great. But mine sucked. What's up with that, Canada?! Ah man, this place is a mixed bag for me, mostly because I came here SO EXCITED to see Broken Social Scene, and even MORE EXCITED for their opening act, Born Ruffians. But they did a horrible job! They just played as if no one knew or gave a flying **** about them. Which was probably true, but come on, you never know when there's a fan out there that is STOKED they know and love your music and can finally hear it live and watch you play. What's worse is that I stayed around for BSS, and they were so freaking boring I left. I actually LEFT. I NEVER leave gigs. The venue seems really great, but I just struck out big time. Boo.

Stéphanie Toi Dec 11, 2012 3.0 stars cool concert venue I like Tivoli mostly because it is a non-profit organization and because of the line up. The artists selection is very electrical and mixes small bands, local or international, and bigger renowned or famous artists. Tivoli is also more affordable than bigger concert halls in Amsterdam such as Paradiso and Melkweg, especially for famous performers. Whenever I went to Tivoli, I actually enjoyed the energy of the crowd which is not something I can say from Amsterdam places as the audience tends to be static and talking until they hear the song everybody knows. So a trip to Utrecht is definitely worth once in a while.

Arjan van Geel Dec 10, 2012 3.0 stars Nice venue, a bit old Tivoli is like the poor version of the Amsterdam concert venue called Paradiso (which is located in an old church). The atmosphere of Tivoli is nice, but a bit less nice. Also, the sound isn't too great. They do have really good bands playing there, but all in all I cannot say that Tivoli is in my top 10 lists of concert halls (and I go to a LOT of shows, across the entire country). So yeah, go there if there's a band you would like to see live, but remember: there are better venues. For example: Tivoli's little brother, called Tivoli De Helling. Which has amazing sound, is totallyl new and ready for the future.
