Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the world’s premier electronic music conference. Organized by the Amsterdam Event Foundation, a part of the Buma Cultuur, which is a non-profit organization that promotes both international and Dutch electronic artists, ADE showcases every genre and subgenre of electronic dance music (EDM).
ADE started in 1996 with 300 delegates in attendance and performances by 30 DJs, but now attracts over 140,000 visitors from more than 60 countries. With more than 270 events spread over five days, the conference takes place every October at a number of different locations in Amsterdam.
The variety of events and workshops at ADE designed especially for those seeking to break into the electronic music industry sets this festival apart as the place to be for those passionate about electronic music.
Events at ADE include the main festival itself, the Hard Dance Event revolving around harder styles of dance music, ADE Next for individuals looking to become producers or musicians, and ADE University for students who want to learn first-hand about working in the entertainment industry.
ADE’s festival showcases over 800 DJs and artists who perform in 60 clubs throughout the city. Past performers at Amsterdam Dance Event include such EDM legends as deadmau5, Fedde le Grand, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, and Armin van Buuren.
Amsterdam Dance Event ticket prices vary depending on which event(s) you want to attend. The central festival always sells out in advance, but most of the singular event tickets can generally be bought up until the week-of.
