Radiohead comes to the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam for one night to play hits off their King of Limbs album and other classic LPs. Caribou opens the show for the hall of fame group.
Radiohead is an experimental rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire with Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Phil Selway, and Ed O’Brien. In 1992, the band shot to the global spotlight with the release of the eerily sweet single “Creep”. Their third album, OK Computer, broke away from their rock roots, adding electronic beats and sounds to Yorke’s haunting vocals and cryptic lyrics.
Radiohead went all the way down the electronic rabbit hole with the release of Kid A in 2000 and Amnesiac in 2001, blending bits of krautrock and jazz with elements of electronic music. With the independent self-release of In Rainbows in 2007, Radiohead straddled the edge of major commercial music and art, initially letting fans set their own price for the innovative sounds found in the album.
With over 30 million albums sold, Radiohead is one of the biggest rock bands in the world. In 2005, Rolling Stone ranked them 73rd out of the 100 “Greatest Artists of All Time” above legends like AC/DC, The Police, Al Green, and The Temptations. And in 2009, readers of Rolling Stone voted Radiohead as the second best artists of the 2000s. From sold-out concerts in ancient Irish castles to secret pub sets, Radiohead’s live show is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
